ARCHIPELAGO ARCHIVES STUDY # 03
Mapping movements across the Indian Ocean
The Indian ocean is an active site of movement: tectonic movement of the Indo-Australian and Sunda continental plates, movement of coastlines with changing sea levels and shifting of sand and silt, migratory movement of animals and peoples, and with them the movement of crop, myth and music. I find myself diving into the histories and historiographies of these movements.
